In this book, many issues concerning everyday life styles are addressed and supportive scriptures are presented in an effort to show how apathy and lack of knowledge of the Word of the Sovereign God are the sole factors for the chaotic conditions of our nation today. Many challenging issues are presented as a mirror to reexamine thoughts and motives that so often put us under condemnation. Truth is often very painful, but like the pain of surgery, it is better to hurt for a while than to hurt forever.
Our nation began with trust in God and respect for His sovereignty. The intention of the founders was to be one nation under God. They even required the slaves to serve that God. But since that beginning, many individuals have entered, brought their foreign gods and continued to worship them instead of the one true God with whom our nation began. In an attempt to accommodate all foreign cultures, we have thrown aside the principle of this country’s origin and encouraged each individual to go after the god of their choice. We are no longer one nation under God; but, we have become a divided nation that is steady falling.
As I look at our nation today, one question arise in my mind, “Where did the invisible adhesion dissipate that once held families together in spite their faults and shortcomings?” Nowadays, children divorcing their parents, parents killing their children or children killing their own mother if the price is right seem like an acceptable way of life. I want to raise some conscious levels high enough to evoke individuals to stand up for what is right.
Or, as we become more technically advanced, has it become a reasonable assumption that we have become a self-sufficient people who are independent of God?
